Meet Our Partners in Design

The idea for Becoming Your Personal Best: Life Lessons from Olympians and Paralympians (BYPB) germinated in 2019, when leaders at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum in Colorado Springs began a unique, powerful, and innovative project that would teach young people resiliency by utilizing the life stories of Olympic and Paralympic athletes.

The Museum team assembled a high-caliber and experienced design team and advisory committee, inviting some of the greatest educators, researchers, experts and mentors in Colorado to collaborate on the design of the social-emotional learning program. They appealed to the Colorado Health Foundation for a generous funding grant to turn the idea into a reality.
