Competition Year(s) and Results
2x Paralympian (2012 // 2016)
Letticia Martinez was diagnosed with Leber’s congenital amaurosis at age three, which has since led to complete blindness. She began swimming in 2009 at age 14 and has loved it ever since. As a pre-race ritual, the two-time Paralympian eats gel-caffeinated gummies and receives a pep talk from her father before getting in the pool. When she’s not working out, Letticia enjoys spending time with her parents, her brother and her nieces and nephew. Letticia and her significant other love spending time together with their daughter and taking rides in their Can-Am. Letticia has completed a triathlon and graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in technical management and a concentration in marketing. Her hobbies include showing goats, listening to music, singing and playing with her guide dog, Philly.
